Today, is just a little note about our Easter day. I always try to write on purpose with a purpose. Today’s note, however, is just a snippet about our day and a picture with my beautiful boys.

Today, is the day we celebrate Resurrection Day; we celebrate that Jesus alive and well. We celebrate that because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we can live with him for eternity in heaven. (Want to know more? Ask me!)

We had family over after church. That means I spent some time on Saturday prepping food. I also caught a potholder on fire and (accidentally) doubled the amount of sugar used to make Snickerdoodles. And then as a follow up, I burned my arm on a lid. (There was no damage from the fire – except rest in peace potholder. I doubled the other ingredients for the Snickerdoodle recipe and froze it for a later date… And, my arm will heal.)

Ham, a chicken, and lemon cheesecake. Two Easter egg hunts, way too many Snickerdoodles. A rainstorm. The boys “swimming” in the living room. A Mama shark attack (that means I was attacked by four boys). Singing songs. A bear hunt. Kisses. Hugs. Booms.

Now all the boys are sleeping peacefully.

I have a sign on the wall that says, “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love.” And while not every moment is perfect, and is quite frankly messy, I look forward to tomorrow. And I look forward to more cheesecake.
